Rowing Camps

Summer Camp 2024

CCBC run Easter, Summer and October mid-term rowing camps for young people ages 11 to 17.

The camps are great fun and are a very good introduction to all facets of rowing – from safety to technique and of course, fun!  Our camps are the entry point to our boat club for those interested in joining.

Rowers must be 11 years old by the start of the camp week to participate.

* Swimming competency is required. This means children must be able to swim 50m and will not panic if they enter the water unexpectedly. Rowers do not wear life jackets or wet suits.

Camps often sell out early, so please use the link below to register.  The system allows registrations until camp is full, so the best way to know if places are available is to attempt to register.

Camp runs Monday through Friday from 11am to 2pm, even on bank holidays. Rowers are asked to bring a full change of clothes, a pair of swimming togs and towel, sun cream, hat, a snack, and plenty of fluids to drink. Parents and rowers will be asked to sign an insurance form and code of conduct, these are emailed in the days leading up to the camp start.

If you have questions please email CCBCsummercamp@gmail.com.

We look forward to seeing you and welcoming you to Castleconnell Boat Club!

*Please note that the 11 year old threshold is an insurance requirement. If your child is not 11 years old by the first day of camp, we will look forward to welcoming them when they are!
